As spring moves into full bloom, I am enjoying spending more time outside and around plants and plant fibres. I am also growing a square foot of flax as part of an experiment (🧶 Soil → Linen Cloth), and am very excited about that.
Me and the rest of the Cabal team finished the grant we were working on since January 2023. We produced some really wonderful work that I am proud of. My main contributions were the writing of the new Wire and Handshake protocol specifications.
I am doing some really beautiful healing work, through my own spirituality, my dear friends, my communities, and with the great aid of my fellow CoDA travellers.
I reside in a difficult place between places. I am too disabled to work a normal job at present, and yet I need money to survive. I am suffering greatly in the city, and yet haven't quite figured out where to live next that will be better for me.
I am also building a small model proa (an indigenous polynesian sailboat design) to teach myself more about the physics of sailing and the design of sailing vessels. I have a great deal of hope to spend considerable time sailing this season and the next, if my health allows it. ❤️🩹
